By accessing or using the Platform you agree to the data practices described below.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, mobile number, password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash).
- Candidate / application details: date of birth, gender, address, qualification, programme preference, family/income details where applicable, and any document uploads (ID proof, photo, mark sheet).
- Assessment & exam data: attempted answers, score, time-spent, anti-cheating signals (e.g., tab-switch counter), device & browser metadata during exams.
- Payment metadata: transaction reference, order ID, payment status, payment instrument category (UPI / card / netbanking). We do not store full card numbers, CVV or UPI PIN — these are handled only by our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway.
- Analytics & technical data: IP address, approximate geo-location, pages visited, referring URL, cookies, and basic device information for security and product improvement.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account, process applications and conduct online assessments.
- To send transactional communications — receipts, admit cards, results and important platform notices.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, examination malpractice and security incidents.
- To comply with statutory obligations and respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

4. Cookies & Tracking
We use first-party, strictly-functional cookies (such as sf_token and sf_admin_token) to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Platform (login, exams, dashboard) will then not function.
5. Payment Processing
All payments are processed through licensed, RBI-regulated third-party payment gateways. Sensitive payment instrument data (card numbers, CVV, UPI PIN, OTP) never touches our servers. Transactions are protected by TLS 1.2+ encryption and server-side cryptographic signature verification.
6. Examination Data
Exam attempts, answers, anti-cheating telemetry, and resulting scores are retained for audit, integrity verification and statutory record-keeping. We may publish merit-list standings using only your candidate ID and chosen display name — never your personal contact details.
7. Security Practices
- Passwords stored as bcrypt hashes — we cannot recover your password in plain text.
- JWT-based authentication tokens delivered as HTTP-only, SameSite cookies.
- Brute-force protection: rate limiting and account lock-outs on repeated failed logins.
- Continuous monitoring of suspicious admin / candidate activity (security event log).
- Role-based access control; production secrets are kept outside the codebase.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with: (a) regulated payment gateways for processing transactions; (b) cloud / hosting service providers strictly bound by confidentiality; (c) auditors, statutory authorities, or courts when legally required.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal, audit and statutory record-keeping purposes. You may request deletion of your account by writing to support@bharatcareermission.com; certain records (e.g., paid transactions, exam attempts) may be retained as required by law.
10. Your Rights
